Clenbuterol is known as a sympathomimetic. These hormones are taken to mimic adrenaline and noradrenaline in the human body. Clenbuterol is a selective beta-2 agonist that is used to stimulate the beta-receptors in fat and muscle tissue in the body
Clenbuterol is a potent, long-lasting bronchodilator that is prescribed for human use outside of the U.S. It is used generally by bodybuilders and athletes for its ability to reduce body fat quickly.
Clenbuterol Hydrochloride, or Clen as it is known, is becoming very popular with anybody who wants to lose weight fast, mainly due to some celebrities who have admitted to using Clenbuterol tablets to lose weight for concerts and/or acting roles where they needed to lose some pounds fast.
Outside the U.S., Clenbuterol is available by prescription for the treatment of bronchial asthma in humans. It is available in tablets (20mcg or 40mcg of Clenbuterol per tablet).
Clenbuterol is a beta2-adrenergic agonist.
Stimulation of the beta2-adrenergic receptors on bronchial smooth muscle produces bronchodilation. Activation of beta-adrenergic receptors also accounts for Clenbuterols ability to reduce body fat.
Clenbuterol is currently not controlled under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).
However, Clenbuterol is listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency and the International Olympic Committee as a performance enhancing drug and therefore athletes are barred from its use.
At present, no states have placed Clenbuterol under control.
